Fluoropolymer Tubing
PFA, FEP & High Barrier — Chemical & Thermal Extremes

Junkosha's fluoropolymer tubing family covers PFA and FEP in standard and micro-tubing formats, plus a High Barrier PFA variant that dramatically reduces acid permeation compared to standard PFA — validated for semiconductor and chemical supply applications.

Junkosha ITF-03 Fluoropolymer Tubing

Standard PFA Lets Acid Through. High Barrier PFA Doesn't.

Conventional PFA tubing is chemically inert on the wetted surface — but all fluoropolymer materials allow trace permeation of aggressive acids over time. In HCl and nitric acid service, standard PFA releases chloride ions into surrounding purified water, progressively degrading fluid purity and contaminating adjacent process equipment.

Junkosha's High Barrier PFA (TAH) adds a fluoropolymer barrier outer layer that reduces HCl permeation by an order of magnitude compared to standard PFA, measured over a 300-day test at 60°C. The inner wetted surface remains high-purity PFA — chemical resistance is unchanged. The tube stays transparent throughout, allowing visual flow inspection.
