Key Features
DC to 250 GHz
The world's first coaxial cable assembly reaching 250 GHz — no competing cable or waveguide solution matches this range.
0.5 mm Connector
Industry-standard 0.5 mm interface enables direct connection to probe station heads and sub-THz test fixtures without adapters.
Safety-Lock Connector
Proprietary locking mechanism prevents accidental disconnection during measurements and protects the precision 0.5 mm interface.
PTFE Tape Dielectric
PTFE tape construction delivers low loss, excellent phase stability, and consistent electrical performance from DC to 250 GHz.
Keysight Co-development
Jointly engineered with Keysight Technologies for integration into next-generation VNA and sub-THz measurement systems.
Applications
Probe Station Testing
Direct connection to on-wafer probe heads for chip and device characterization up to 250 GHz.
AI Accelerator Testing
Characterize next-generation AI data center chips requiring high-bandwidth signaling beyond 100 GHz.
Sub-THz & THz Research
First coaxial solution enabling sub-THz research without transitioning to waveguide — simpler setups, broader sweep range.
Semiconductor Testing
Advanced device characterization for RF, mmWave, and sub-THz semiconductor components in production and R&D environments.

Why the 0.5 mm Connector?
Above 110 GHz, conventional coaxial connectors (2.4 mm, 1.85 mm) reach their physical limits. The 0.5 mm connector is the IEEE-defined standard for the 250 GHz band, enabling direct interface to probe heads and on-wafer measurements without adapters.
Before the MWX0A5, engineers had to transition to waveguide above ~110 GHz — requiring expensive WR adapters, limiting measurement flexibility, and adding calibration uncertainty. The MWX0A5 eliminates the waveguide transition entirely up to 250 GHz.
